We slept late this morning. No surprise there, after all that wine! It was a great day and evening though. The food was delicious, the ambiance was great, and it was special to be able to cut out all the ‘noise’ of news and what’s going on in the world and just be in the moment.
The bottle of Cab was rather a challenge to open because the cork had disintegrated, but Roger didn’t do too badly at all. He did use a tea strainer though, just in case…
Now we are back to reality. The kitchen is cleaned up and life in lockdown mode continues. There is much to be grateful for: all our family members and friends, so far, seem to be OK. Let’s hope it stays that way.
We’ve added some non-family members to our WhatsApp Family group, and renamed it to Lockdown Sanity Chat. It is keeping the communication going and we have lots of laughs; so privileged!
