There was none! Well… nothing fixed anyway! Hence the name of our Blog: ‘There and Back – Ufudu’s Tales’. Thanks to Francois who came up with the name which says it all.
Roughly we intended starting our trip by going to Nylsvley, situated in an IBA (Important Bird Area) and a Ramsar site. We collected Letitia’s truck licence en route in Modimolle where she did her test.
Thereafter we traveled up to Mapungupwe National Park for a few days. We then traveled along the Limpopo River toward the northern part of the Kruger National Park and took a very slow (one month) tour through the KNP.
We then more-or-less traveled clock-wise around the country, visiting all 21 National Parks and most of the IBAs without making prior reservations.
